Supporters hold ‘Walk for Peace, Walk for Sara’

Supporters of Vice President Sara Duterte launched a “Walk for Peace, Walk for Sara” before the start of the National Rally for Peace by the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) in Davao City on Monday.

The group started walking from Freedom Park on Roxas Avenue to Rizal Park along San Pedro Street at 2 p.m. where the main venue of INC’s rally was held.

Boy Dela Cruz, convenor of Protect VP Sara Davao City Chapter, told the media that the walk aims to condemn the impeachment complaints against the vice president.

Dela Cruz added that the group only wants true peace and prosperity based on justice.

Dela Cruz emphasized that the “Walk for Peace, Walk for Sara” also aims to remind the Marcos administration that the group is part of the 32 million who supported the vice president in the last election.

“At hanggang ngayon nandirito pa rin, we stand up for truth and justice,” dela Cruz said.

The protest rally against the impeachment of the vice president was conducted nationwide: Luzon-Quirino, Isabela, Albay, Vigan, Puerto Princesa; Visayas-Ormoc City, Cebu City, Bacolod City, and Iloilo City; and Mindanao- Cagayan de Oro City, Davao City, Pagadian City, and Butuan City.
