The revised Anti-Distracted Driving Act or Republic Act 10913 took effect last July 6 after its implementing rules and regulations (IRR) were published on Wednesday. The new law says person driving a vehicle may make a call provided that he or she is using the phone’s hands-free function and that the device is not within the line of sight set four inches above the dashboard.
