Philippine Skyrunning Association director Ramon Marchan has invited Davao’s Mel Andrew Basilio to participate in the 23rd Mt. Kinabalu International Climbathon on October 24 to 25 in Sabah, Malaysia.
The event is known as the “World’s Toughest Mountain Race” that involves 21 kilometers of up and down running on Mt. Kinabalu, Malaysia’s first world heritage site.
Basilio had taken part in the 21st edition and gets another crack this year with 27 other Filipino competitors, including Mt. Everest conqueror Leo Oracion. The other member of the contingent is sportswriter Lito Cinco who will cover the event.
