CROCS-Davao Golf Tour staged

It was a golf tournament like no other.

Three courses. 90 holes.

From July 5 to 9, members of the exclusive Cool Rabid Outlandish Caring Sportsmen (CROCS) of Davao staged its mid-year golf event with a three-leg competition in three of the finest championship courses in Clark, Pampanga.

CROCS Davao, headed by president Ruben T. Chiong, is an exclusive golf organization composed of Davao-based professionals and executives.

The Tour’s first swing brought the CROCS swingers to Sun Valley Golf Club while the second stop was in Mimosa and the final leg at Beverly.

Emerging as winners in the accumulated scoring format are gross medal champion Eugene Chiong who outscored first runner-up Atty. Francis Carlos and second runner-up Atty. Ed Batacan.

Batacan, however, stamped his class in the net medal which he ruled with a scorching 11 under par aggregate.

The other members of the team who joined the tournament were Dr. Ed Guevara, Dr. Chin Lim, Dr. Gary Batiller, Ronald Lu, Aboy Sy, Elindo Lo, and Robert Siason.

Meantime, CROCS will be holding its first ever Invitational golf tournament on September 29, 2018 at Rancho Palos Verdes Golf and Country Club in Cabantian. Proceeds will be donated to Animal Rescue Rehabilitation and Fostering Davao (ARRF DAVAO), an NGO advocating animal welfare.
