Cops clueless on woman’s killing

Police investigators were still facing a blank wall behind the suspected killing of a woman inside an inn along San Pedro St. in Davao City Tuesday morning.

“The motive behind  her killing has yet to be established,” said Davao City Police office spokesperson PSI Ma. Teresita Gaspan.

The victim, identified as one Rubinaire Ibara Rabara, 37, from Urdaneta City in Pangasinan was discovered dead inside a room of an inn at San Pedro St., Davao City on Tuesday morning.

Based on police blotter from San Pedro Police Station, the victim’s identify was established through her passport which was found along with her personal belongings at room no. 76, Second floor of D’Morvie Inn, San Pedro Branch.

The victim was found by room boy Junte Pelayo underneath the bed with swelling and reddish head at about 7:45 in the morning.

The investigation quoted front desk personnel as saying that  two men checked in at the room at about 7:56 in the evening of May 8 and one Junaid M. Macadatar filled-out a customer’s

form. At about 10:00 PM, the woman victim arrived at the inn and inquired from the front desk where room no. 76 was.

Gaspan said a broken toilet water tank cover believed to be the murder weapon was found in the crime scene. Also, there was writing on the mirror of the comfort room saying “MAO NAI MAAYO SA MANGILAD DILI MOTUMAN SA SABOT.”

“We are looking at misunderstanding between the suspects and the victim as the motive of the incident based on the writing at the mirror of the comfort room,” Gaspan told reporters in a press conference on Wednesday.

Gaspan also said that other angles, like love triangle, is also being considered while investigation is still going on.
