Two of the longest running and most successful supplementary feeding programs in the country have once again come together to bring hope to even more families in need – this time working together to combat malnutrition in the Durian Capital of the Philippines – Davao City.

Launched last May 10, 2017, Mead Johnson Nutrition Philippines’ “Feeding Hope” Supplementary Feeding Program and Unilever Philippines’ “Lutong Nanay” Nutrition Program, through the support of the City Government of Davao City; Honorable Mayor Sarah Duterte; City Councilor Atty. Jay Quitain; the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD); and NGO lead Kabisig ng Kalahi, will benefit 360 wasted or severely malnourished children from three barangays of the city’s 1st District.

The two programs will run simultaneously for 120 feeding days and are expected to rehabilitate the children beneficiaries back to the normal state of nutrition. In the process, the mothers of the beneficiaries will also be given training on nutrition and values formation.
