Rodrigo Duterte II, grandson and namesake of former President Rodrigo Duterte and son of Davao City First District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte expressed concern over the recent bombing of a Yellow Bus Line (YBL) bus and urged Dabawenyos to remain vigilant to prevent same tragic incident in Davao City.
Rigo encouraged Dabawenyos to always follow and cooperate with the security measures like the random checkpoints and other measures implemented by the security cluster, which aim to ensure the safety of the people of the city.
An improvised explosive device (IED) exploded inside the unit of YBL in Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat on Sunday killing a passenger identified as Gilbert Garbosa resident of Carmen, Cotabato Province. Eleven individuals, wherein eight were residents of the said province, were also injured due to the explosion.
He said since the Roxas Night Market in 2016, Davao City has always been on red alert and has never lowered its guards after that incident.
