The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) reminded the public to follow the guidelines being implemented in the celebration of the Pasko Fiesta sa Davao 2024, which kicked off on November 28, 2024.
DCPO spokesperson Capt. Hazel Tuazon urged on Monday the Dabawenyos to follow the dos and don’ts to ensure the safety and security of everyone during this month-long Christmas celebration.
The DCPO encourages all attendees, including residents, visitors, and tourists, to comply with these guidelines as they participate in the events.
“With the expected influx of people visiting the city, it is imperative to observe the strict implementation of city ordinances to uphold peace and order, ensuring everyone’s safety,” she said.
Among the guidelines being implemented include no smoking in public places, avoid bringing of infants and small children, not bringing of backpacks and big bags, not wearing jackets and sunglasses upon going through the inspection area, not drinking alcoholic beverages in public, avoid using laser light, no bomb jokes, no firearms, using of drones are not allowed except those that have security clearance and bringing of sharp objects is prohibited.
“Unta padayon ang pagtuman sa mga Dabawenyo apil na ang mga bisita ug turista na mu-witness sa atong activities diri sa syudad sa Davao. Mu-follow lang kanunay (guidelines) para dili ta maka encounter ug problema ug smooth lang ang dagan sa atoang pag implementa sa atong mga guidelines. Sa atong mga dos and don’ts padayon lang nato i-follow and follow the procedure during inspection kay kana tanan para safe sila sulod sa venue sa atong mga activities sa Pasko Fiesta,” Tuazon said over Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR).
Meanwhile, Police Regional Office 11 (PRO 11) spokesperson Major Catherine dela Rey announced last week that PRO 11 as well as the police provincial offices are ready for the Christmas celebration, particularly for the start of Simbang Gabi on Dec. 16 and the upcoming New Year celebrations.
