Honda Philippines, Inc. with its dealer DESMARK Corporation unveiled its flagship branch for Honda motorcycle in Davao City as well as its new motorcycle models on April 28 located at Km. 5, Buhangin Road.

The 6,960 square-meter Honda Davao Flagship shop is the first in Mindanao. T
he branch, which used to be a store branch with showroom, sales, parts and after-sales service, now has new amenities being offered like their 742 square-meter Rider’s hall, ideal for motorcycle club events, activities and gatherings and their 1,500 square-meter test course area where riders can test ride their new motorcycles or try newly released models. The establishment also has a customer lounge for customers waiting for their service and maintenance.

“The reason why we opened here is that Davao City is that it is the capital city of Mindanao and while Honda is going to expand branches nationwide, we are putting most of our resources in Mindanao,” said Honda Philippines, Inc. President Daiki Nihara said.

He added: “The market here is very good, compared to the Visayas. The macro-economy in Mindanao is very good. And I think people here are looking for more motorcycles for commuting so we are very optimistic with the market increase here.”

During the unveiling of the new branch, new Honda motorcycle models were also launched, namely: Wave 110, BeAT Fi, Click125i, Click150i, CRF250 and CRF250Rally, showcasing their unique and attractive design to cater to Filipino customers.

“This is the first Honda Flagship store in Mindanao and the second in the Philippines. This flagship shop is a concept that states the strength of Honda in the city. It gives it a more high-end look, giving the statement that motorcycle is now high-end. Not just any motorcycle,” Maricris Du-Lopez, Vice President for Operations of DESMARK Corporation.

The flagship branch in Davao is the second in the Philippines, following the first one in Cebu City which opened last January. The third flagship shop which will be located in Manila is expected to open within the second quarter of this year. Currently, Honda has the largest dealership network in the Philippines with 497 shops nationwide.
