South central business district eyed for Davao

Real estate developer Cebu Landmasters, Inc. has sealed the deal with Yuson, Huang and Tan families for the development of the 18-hectare Matina Golf course into a new central business district.

The signing of the memorandum of understanding was made by Jose Soberano, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cebu Landmasters and Fred Yuson, CEO of the Yuson Comm Investment at Marco Polo Hotel Davao on Saturday.

said that the Matina Golf Township will have mixed use establishments such as mall, hotels, residential condominiums, BPO hubs, civic centers and possibly, a graduate school. He added that they have been looking at De La Salle University for a possible venture with them.

The Cebu Landmasters CEO expressed that this project will contribute greatly in the development of the city, along with other government and private projects that are now being realized in Davao.

Soberano revealed that they are on their master planning stage and hope to start doing the land development phase of the project before the end of the year. He also said that they are currently exploring other interested developers who could take part of the project.

Cebu Landmasters Inc. is a Cebu-based real estate development company in Cebu. They have launched their first project in Davao city, the MesaTierra Garden Residences, last March.
