PDEA DIRECTOR GENERAL AARON N. AQUINO along with his staff and Service Directors called for an emergency meeting with the PDEA Regional Office XI to reassure the security of personnel in conducting supply and demand reduction last October 9, 2018 at the PDEA Regional Office XI Conference Room.
After the conference, the PDEA Director General proceeded to the hospital to visit the wounded PDEA Agent who survived the ambush attack last October 5, 2018 in Kapai, Lanao del Sur wherein five (5) other PDEA Agents were killed.
He also handed over cash assistance to the wounded PDEA Agent. He swore to the wounded PDEA Agent and to the families of the fallen PDEA Agents who offered their lives to save the future of the country that the agency will also conduct a full investigation to identify who committed this crime and use all the resources at its disposal to put these criminals in jail.
“It is clear that the war on drugs of the government is a threat to those who continue their illegal drug activities despite of PRESIDENT RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE’s stern warning. Their death will not go in vain, we will not let this incident hinder our all-out war against illegal drugs. This just gives us more strength to fight, rather than bow down to the threats of these drug syndicates”, the PDEA official said.
