Aristotle said: “He who is to be a good ruler must have first been ruled.”
The black propaganda machine of the Yellow Marauders out to topple PRRD from his perch is now flexing its engine with the loudest roar it can muster.
Just about any small miscue Digong commits in his public statements and wherever, the YMs swarm and gang up, using all the multi-media tools available in the market.
Wow, look at how they are riding piggyback on the death of Kian delos Santos. They throw everything against the PNP, blaming the highest authority for the alleged “culture of impunity” prevailing.
Not satisfied with the media exposure and mileage they are getting from their allies in the Yellow media, they have also woven a Machiavellian scheme to include Davao City Mayor Paulo “Pulong” Duterte as a major accomplice in the on-going Bureau of Customs brouhaha concerning the alleged smuggling of P6.4B worth of shabu.
I tell you they won’t stop until they achieve their sinister goals.
For one thing, there is reason to suspect that the YMs are preempting PRRD from unearthing more corruption committed during the previous administration.
The Bautista versus Bautista (Comelec chairman Andres Bautista vs wife Patricia Bautista) could ignite a far more explosive blast than what generally is being perceived.
The unexplained wealth issue alleged by wife Patricia against her husband could just be the so-called tip of the iceberg. That he has so far refused to go on leave or resign despite calls from his fellow commissioners to do so, Bautista is seen to be projecting an innocent though poker-faced position on the matter.
The YMs are pouncing on two fronts: the Kian slaying and Pulong’s possible involvement in the BOC smuggling issue. Why?
In the Kian controversy, they are looking to arouse the ire of the masses by repeating lies about EJKs and the public’s patriotism with calls – mainly from drama queen Rissa Hontiveros – to duplicate EDSA 1 and 2.
However incredulous she is, Hontiveros is trying very hard to appear as a symbol of democracy, aping in every manner the late Cory Aquino’s battle against the Marcos dictatorship.
Unfortunately, Digong is not Marcos.
The great mass of ordinary Filipinos – here and abroad – love him dearly as evidenced by PRRD’s high trust and approval ratings.
In the Pulong case, the smart-acting Sen. Trillanes is in charge, using his own intelligence network to pin down the President by pinning down his son with whatever incriminating circumstance he could lay his hands on.
Latching on to mere references by a young smart-alecky resource person, Trillanes is seeking to make two and two equals four a logical conclusion.
Oh, we take our politics to the grave. Regardless if the country’s economy is wrecked, regardless of the consequences to the political stability of the nation, our politicians aim only to preserve themselves.
This is no statesmanship, not at all.
Look at this. The Aquino-Cojuangco clan were not willing to give up Hacienda Luisita that is why Noynoy had to be there. That is why SC Chief Justice was impeached. The poor man died a very sad fellow, ganged upon by the Aquino horde that kicked him out.
As I have written before, the ouster plot against the Chief Executive is very real.
Hontiveros’ call if made during the Marcos years were very subversive. But then, subversion has been repealed and outlawed. Still, reading between the lines, one can easily discern that they were calls for a revolution.
But the YMs’ days are over, definitely done and over with.
They have become a bunch of wasted attack dogs just barking their loudest.
They no longer have the solid support of the masses who once answered the call of EDSA 1. EDSA 2 was not a repeat of EDSA 1. The truth is that it was a coup d’etat that did in Joseph Estrada.
Don’t play politics. It is a deadly game. (Email your feedback to fredlumba@yahoo.com.) Ps. 27:14: “Wait on the Lord; be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart; wait, I say, on the Lord.” GOD BLESS THE PHILIPPINES!
