For the 5th consecutive year, leaders of Barangay Binugao in Toril, Davao City and Barangay Inawayan in Sta. Cruz, Davao del Sur recently held their annual barangay planning session. The activity, which was sponsored by AboitizPower subsidiary Therma South, Inc. (TSI), was participated by representatives from the barangay council, barangay health center, as well as principals of the public elementary and high schools.
TSI facilitates the conduct of the barangay planning session to assist the barangay in mapping out a strategic plan for the coming year. The focus areas for the planning revolve around health, infrastructure, livelihood, environment, and education.
“Dako kaayo among pasasalamat sa TSI kay wala ninyo mi gibilin. Hands on kaayo mo. Ang barangay ug ang TSI nag grow together. (We are really grateful to TSI for not leaving us behind. You have been very hands-on. The barangay and TSI have grown together) ” said Binugao Punong Barangay Hon. Remegio Saniel.
“Apart from giving the barangay an opportunity to map out their plans for the next year, this planning session also aims to capacitate the barangay in the implementation and management of their strategic plan,” said TSI Manager for Reputation and Stakeholder Management Jason Magnaye.
