Cebu Pacific is making more moments happen as they launched DVO-CRK Inaugural Flight on November 9, 2018 commencing at Francisco Bangoy International Airport in Davao City.
This marks the start of Cebu Pafcific’s daily flights linking the two economic hubs that will be an outlet to enhance trade, tourism and investments in the Philippines.
Suplicio Omaya, the first passenger to check in received a roundtrip ticket DVO-CRK as an award given during the ceremony at the boarding gate by CEB Corporate Communications Director Ms. Charo Logarta-Logamon with Area Manager-Domestic Outstations Mr. Steve Boiser.
Assisting Ms. Charo for the traditional cake-cutting is Councilor April Dayap representing Mayor Sara Duterte Carpio and Civil Aeronautics Authority of the Philippines Representative Mr. Leandro Varquez.
Davao to Clark route further enhances the leading carrier’s network from its Davao hub which marks its 10th anniversary this year.
“It will be easier to source raw materials and ship goods through cargo services that will be offered with the new route,” CEB Vice President for Safety and Quality Jomar Rodriguez said in a press statement.
Aside from Clark, Cebu Pacific mounts direct flights from Davao to Tagbilaran, Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Dumaguete, Iloilo , Manila, Tacloban and Zamboanga including an international flight to Singapore.
Cebu Pacific now mounts over 148 flights per week to and from the Davao City International Airport, representing about 8% of the total number of flights mounted weekly.
Flight 5J 985 using A320 aircraft from Clark ETD is 1:45 PM and is expected to arrive in Davao City at 3:40 PM. Davao Flight 5J 986 then departs at 4:10 PM and arrives at Clark International Airport at 6:25 PM.
Cebu Pacific boasts of one of the youngest fleets in the world, with a total of 67 aircraft with an average age of 4.8 years. Between 2017 and 2022, the airline expects delivery of two more A321 CEO, six ATR 72-600, and 32 Airbus A321NEO (New Engine Option) aircrafts.
