Davao City Water District announces that water consumption on November 9, 2024 is FREE among all residential customers with 1/2-inch water meters. This is in line with the water utility’s Libreng Tubig Promo in time for its anniversary month in November.
Around 198,500 of the estimated 257,000 service connections are expected to avail of this offer and the free consumption will be reflected in their December 2024 billing.
DCWD’s Board of Directors and management explained that this offer is a show of gratitude to customers for their more than 50 years of support that has been instrumental in the water utility’s growth and expansion.
The Libreng Tubig Promo is a milestone offer in water service provision and one that the Davaoeños can take pride in as it is a rare, if not the only, initiative that gives one day water consumption for free in the country.
The offer has been made possible with the significant improvement in DCWD’s water service harnessing both ground and surface water sources that has made the water utility’s operation achieve climate resilience.
DCWD projects increased water consumption on November 9, 2024 as it is the Saturday following a long weekend with the upcoming All Saints’ Day holiday. Based on trend, most residences will schedule their laundry, house cleaning, and other water-extensive domestic uses the weekend following a long weekend. Thus, with the promo offer, customers need not worry about their consumption.
The Libreng Tubig Promo is non-transferable, cannot be exchanged for cash, and cannot be used in conjunction with any other promos/discounts like the Lifeline Water Rate. (Kianna Marie A. Mendoza)
