DCWD employees champion water source sustainability with tree planting activity

Fifty Davao City Water District employees participated in the tree planting activity on November 15, 2024 at Mt. Talomo-Lipadas Watershed, specifically at Sitio Skyline, Brgy. Manuel Guianga as part of the Davao City Water Consciousness Month celebration.

A total of 350 forest and fruit tree seedlings including Sagimsim (π‘†π‘¦π‘§π‘¦π‘”π‘–π‘’π‘š π΅π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘£π‘–π‘ π‘‘π‘¦π‘™π‘’π‘š), Bogo (πΊπ‘Žπ‘Ÿπ‘’π‘”π‘Ž πΉπ‘™π‘œπ‘Ÿπ‘–π‘π‘’π‘›π‘‘π‘Ž), and Avocado (π‘ƒπ‘’π‘Ÿπ‘ π‘’π‘Ž π΄π‘šπ‘’π‘Ÿπ‘–π‘π‘Žπ‘›π‘Ž) were planted. The employees were assisted by DCWD’s community partners.

This initiative is part of DCWD’s Integrated Watershed Management Program that protects and rehabilitates Davao City’s watersheds.

The active participation of the employees underscores their proactive role in safeguarding the city’s water sources and ensuring that both present and future generations continue to have access to clean and reliable water.
