Dabawenyos love going to the extreme, be it extreme sports such as cross country biking, and surfing, to extreme games such as going on a zip-line or going on a giant 90-foot swing.
Starting July 15, Dabawenyos can expect to go even more extreme with the latest offering by RBG Bar and Grill, Park Inn by Radisson Davao’s all-day dining restaurant. Called BRG’s Xtreme Meal, the simple name belies the sheer monstrosity of the meal, which I myself was able to experience at a preview last July 10.
Each RBG Xtreme Meal comes with just three items, a pizza, a burger, a trifle. But I could not beleieve my eyes once the items came out of the kitchen. The Four Seasons Super Pizza was the size of two tables while the Giant Burger was larger then my head. It was later revealed that the patty of the burger alone weighed a full kilogram. Although the burger patty was thick, it was flavourful and juicy to the bite.
“The RBG Xtreme meal is not just a satisfying meal with a heaping serving, it also offers value for money.” says Hotel Manager Emelyn Rosales. “For only Php3,499.00, you get to enjoy this set with a group of 10 or even 15 friends. “
The trifle, which is made of home-made brownies and chocolate chip cookies, layered with chocolate mousse and ice cream and topped off with pretzels and nuts was the perfect way to end a monster meal. And by the time the last diner surrendered, (there were ten of us taking on a single Xtreme Meal) there was still food on the table.
