There is always a reason to be thankful and the Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao came up with all the aces as they held their 2017 Appreciation Party last August 30.
Invited to the “Everglow” all-black masquerade affair were more than 150 government, non-government and corporate clients, travel agency representatives, media and industry partners. The party was comfortably held at the Waterfront’s Grand Ballroom which was transformed into a fantasy world of neon and theatrics. Honored invitees were welcomed to the cocktail party with a red carpet, their own sparkling masks, a blacklit lounge and an array of flowing cocktails.
The party got started with a performance by the dancers of jaz Up Danz Crew which was followed by a welcome remark by Waterfront Insular Davao Hotel’s manager Bryan Yves Lasala.
“It is indeed a great honor and pleasure for me, both personally and as the Hotel Manager of Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, to welcome you all this evening.” he said, “I wish at the outset to extend on all our behalf our warmest thanks to our partners in the industry, friends from the media, loyal clients and trusted suppliers, for so generously gracing tonight’s event – Chairman of the Philippine Councilors League Hon. Councilor Danilo Dayanghirang, Chairperson for Tourism City Councilor Al Ryan Alejandre, Members of the Davao Tourism Association and the Visit Davao Fun Sale Execom and our longtime partner in our CSR-related initiatives Dr. Mae Dolendo of the House of Hope and our top awardees for the year 2016 including out-of-town accounts from Manila and Cotabato.”
“We’ve themed tonight’s affair ‘everglow’ – it means a sense of glowing, always and continuously. It brings a feeling of warmth and bliss at a phase in life. This is what we hope to give you – the desire that despite the changing of winds and the way waters flow, the light that we leave you will everglow. “ said Bryan of the theme.
That evening, Waterfront awarded a total of 36 clients and partners under the following categories: a Special Citation to those with recognizable support to its programs; a Media Partner award to the members of the media with continuous efforts for its marketing promotions and initiatives; an Event Supplier award to their trusted suppliers for their loyalty and participation in its special events and activities.
There were also awards given for Top Travel Agency; Top Government, Non-Government and Corporate Account awards to those with outstanding contributions based on the number of room nights and figure of revenues for the previous year.
A raffle draw ended the evening where winners got room and dining accommodation packages in either one of four Waterfront hotels: Waterfront Insular Hotel Davao, Waterfront Airport Hotel and Casino, Waterfront Cebu City Hotel and Casino and Waterfront Manila Pavilion Hotel.
