Davao’s trendsetter in the food and beverage industry introduces new inspirational cocktails.
In partnership with Apotheke Craft Spirits Co., Marco Polo Davao held an afternoon of cocktail-tasting with guest Mixologist Kevin Clint Obach to introduce some signature cocktails with a twist.
One of the most respected mixologists from Cebu and founder of Cebu Bar Concept, Kevin Obach demonstrated eight mouth filling and flavourful cocktails in gin, plantation rum, tequila, rinomato and cachaca bases. Among the cocktails that were served are: South Side, Mr. Alexander, Pina Old Fashioned, Basil Mojito, Tommy’s Margarita, Ocho Italiano, French Italian Spritz and Caipirinha.
Also present in the event are Apotheke Crafts Spirits Co. Managing Partner Simon Cote and Wine Warehouse Account Executive Maridel Sugarol.
“We are happy to be the first bar in the city to introduce these innovative drinks that are a step further to many of the classical cocktails. We are delighted with the support of Apotheke not only by introducing their products but to couple their support with trainings to our hotel staff. Earlier today, our bartenders and barmen were able to try and learned the preparation of the cocktails which will be available on our special beverage menu for a limited time. Of course, we are also thankful to the strong partnership we have with Wine Warehouse, who is the local supplier for the Apotheke Spirits,” says Marco Polo Davao RB&E Manager Rene Gargallo.
The cocktail-tasting was paired with some local flavours such as Malagos Cheese, seafood and local fruits prepared by the hotel’s culinary team lead by Executive Chef Alex Destriza.
