Davao City just magnified its hospitality sector with the recent opening of Acacia Hotel Davao at one of the city’s busiest spots.

Acacia has always set its eyes on expansion and with Acacia Hotel Manila as a stronghold, Acacia Hotel Bacolod stands firm, achieving amazing feats, paved the way for the opening of Acacia Hotel Davao.
“Our tourism industry in the country has been flourishing in the last few years, with Davao City as one of the favorite destinations. Filipinos that we are, we want to welcome our visitors with great hospitality which we promise to provide our guests in Acacia Hotel. Apart from the 260 guest rooms, it is capable to host functions and events from one to one thousand. According to Co, although, he is a sari-sari store owner and not a hotelier, he knows when one gets the best service and accommodation in a hotel.
“Once again I remind you that I am not a hotelier but our Acacia lives and breathes Filipino values of hospitality, superb service and love of making guests happy,” Co said.
What is admirable with Acacia Hotel Davao is 99 percent of its partners are locals from the busboy to the resident manager.
“They will breathe life into Acacia Davao City. Iba ang culture at training ninyo dito sa Davao. The skills, the willingness to learn, the sense of malasakit and going the extra mile – our colleagues here in Davao City have exhibited these qualities in abundance,” Co added.

“Our experience in doing business in Davao City has been delightful – no non-sense, zero red tape, and hassle-free. Complement that with a stable environment and stellar peace and order situation, then it is little wonder why we continue to expand our businesses here,” Co said.
The inauguration was graced by President Rodrigo Duterte, who was the guest of honor and a close friend of Co. Other attendees were Puregold Price Club Inc. vice chair Susan Co, Honeylet Avanceña, and Department of Tourism (COT) Undersecretary Art Boncato, Davao Tourism Association (DATA) president Gatchi Gatchalian, Cosco Prime Holdings Inc president Leonardo Dayao, and Johnny Ang of Kudos Trucking Corp.
