Students of the Philippine Science High School are often seen as highly intellectual, too smart, exclusive, or snob.
Learning from people’s perception on the school and its students, PSHS Southern Mindanao Campus (PSHSSMC) has finally changed marketing strategy as it launched it’s Pisay Smart- Up!, a City-wide Quiz Bee and Impromptu Speaking Contest for Grade 6 students from selected private and public schools in Davao City.
This is Pisay’s smart way of opening up to the public, reaching out to its target clients, and at the same time showcasing the holistic skills and talents of Pisay students.
This time, PSHSSMC management brought the campaign to one of Davao’s biggest and leading malls, the SM City Davao. The campaign is highlighted with a quiz bee, essay writing, and impromptu speaking contest. In between contests, Pisay students through the various school clubs showcased the various talents such as dancing, singing, and playing of musical instruments.
“ This is the first time for Pisay to introduce the school and the students openly to the public. This is also our way of enticing graders to apply and soon enroll to PSHS.”, said PSHS Campus Director Delia Legaspino.
About 14 schools city-wide both public and private sent students to compete in the set of contests.
