Toril school head denies kidnapping yarn online

]An official of Doña Carmen Denia National High School (DCDNHS) in Toril, Davao City denied kidnapping attempt reports circulating online involving one of its Grade 9 students.

This is about a viral post regarding the attempted kidnapping of a student of DCDNHS that happened Thursday afternoon.

William Dabon Enriquez, principal of DCDNHS, told Edge Davao that it is found out during their investigation that the alleged “kidnapper” is a person with a mental problem.

Mura ug naa’y problema sa pangisip,” Enriquez said.

Enriquez also confirmed there was no black van contrary to reports.

Gitan-aw namo sa cctv wala man. Pero delikado gihapon ni nga tao. Gitambagan namo ang istudyante na muadto sa police station aron ma blotter,” he said.

Police personnel is already deployed in the said school to ensure the safety of the students.

The police are now looking for the said stray person in Toril following the alleged kidnapping incident and responsible for traumatizing the student.

Last week, Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte warned the public not to post unverified crime incidents online and not to believe unconfirmed reports.

He told the public to verify the reports from the media and get confirmation from the police.
