Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte led the Barangayan Serbisyo Publiko (BSP) in Barangay Bago Aplaya, Davao City on Saturday.
The BSP is a program of the City Mayor’s Office (CMO) aiming to bring the services of the city government of Davao to the barangays of the city.
The activity was joined by various local and national offices including City Health Office (CHO), City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), Lingap, Philhealth, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA), and many others.
One of the highlights of the activity was a basketball clinic organized by the CMO for children 8 to 17 years old.
At least 81 children participated in the basketball clinic, which aims to promote sports among children and to search for potential athletes from the barangays.
Mayor Baste, in his speech, reminded and encouraged residents to always follow the city’s ordinances and to be more understanding with one another.
He also urged the residents to inform the barangay or the city government of Davao
if they have concerns.
