The Sta. Ana Police Station’s Drug Enforcement Unit seized P792,880 worth of suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride also known as shabu in a buy-bust operation in Purok Nagsil Village, Barangay Centro Agdao, Davao City on Wednesday evening.
Alias Justin, considered a High-Value Individual (HVI) drug personality and a resident of Barangay Centro Agdao, Davao City and three others were apprehended by police operatives while having a pot session.
The police identified the other three suspects as alias Jennifer from Bucana, Davao City; alias Jomar, and alias Christian from Brgy. Centro Agdao, Davao City.
Meanwhile, two other drug personalities fell in the hands of the authorities in a 24-hour anti-illegal drug operation in Davao City over the weekend.
Confiscated from the suspects were suspected shabu and dried Marijuana leaves.
The Ecoland Police Station confiscated Marijuana leaves with an estimated standard drug price of P987.60 while Ma-a Police Station seized suspected shabu with an estimated standard drug price of P11,560.
The Davao City Police Office (DCPO) vowed to continue its relentless efforts to combat the scourge of illegal drugs and bring the individuals involved to justice for the protection of the public.
“With the full support of the active community, which consistently provides information about individuals involved in illegal drugs,” it said.
DCPO also acknowledged the support of the barangay officials, the community, and the Local Government Unit in joining this campaign.
“Illegal drugs are a significant factor contributing to crime in various areas. Thus, the DCPO team will not cease conducting operations against illegal drugs to provide a safer place for all Dabawenyos,” it said.
