In a significant boost to healthcare services in Mati, Mayor Michelle Nakpil Rabat formally received a ceremonial check worth ₱5.4 million from PhilHealth Regional Vice President Atty. Harvey Carcedo.

The amount represents the initial payment for the rollout of the PhilHealth Konsulta Package, a vital component of the Universal Health Care (UHC) Law, aimed at providing outpatient care for residents.

The City Health Office of Mati, accredited as a PhilHealth Konsulta Provider, has been at the forefront of delivering essential healthcare services to registered beneficiaries.

These services include medical consultations, health risk screenings, selected laboratory and diagnostic tests, and access to specific medications.

This program ensures that underserved and indigent residents of Mati can access standard primary healthcare services at no additional cost, with PhilHealth covering the expenses.

The initiative is part of the UHC Law’s broader vision of making healthcare more affordable and accessible to all Filipinos, particularly those in vulnerable communities. CIO Mati
