Davao City First District Representative Paolo “Pulong” Duterte on Wednesday said he will decide if he will seek reelection after his meeting with former President Rodrigo Duterte, Vice President Sara Duterte, and Mayor Sebastian “Baste” Duterte.

When asked what position he will be running, Rep. Pulong said he is undecided yet as his family does not want him to run again.

“Wala pako kabalo kay karon ang akong asawa ug akong duha ka anak murag dili naman ganahan nga mulansar ko tungod aning gubot sa adminsitrasyon against sa mga Duterte. Amo pa istoryahan sa pmailya kung unsa gyud,” he said.

It can be recalled that Vice President Sara Duterte bared last week that based on reports circulating in Davao City, the former president and her two brothers are said to be preparing to run for national positions.

In June this year, the vice president revealed that her father and two brothers will all run for Senate seats in the 2025 elections.

Meanwhile, Rep. Pulong gave a message to their allies who already left and to those who are planning to leave the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod (HTL) Party.

“Good luck. Ana lang man na ang politika. Wala man forever na kauban ug kalaban aning politika,” he said.

On Tuesday, Councilor Diosdado Angelo Mahipus Jr. asked Councilor Javi Campos III whether he would still run under the HTL Party in the upcoming 2025 midterm election and address the speculations that he would be switching political parties.

This developed after a photo of Campos with President Ferdinand Marcos Jr., Ilocos Representative and Presidential Son Sandro Marcos, Special Assistant to the President (SAP) Anton Lagdameo, former Senator Manny Pacquiao, and reelectionist Francis Tolentino has circulated online.

In August this year, First District Councilor Bernie Al-ag also left the HTL party and reportedly jumped to the other political fence.
