Davao City Public Safety and Security Office (PSSO) head Angel Sumagaysay said aside from the 38 cemeteries, the security plan for Undas 2024 scheduled October 30 to November 3 will include tourist spots and coastal areas in the city.
He said that during the security coordination meeting on Tuesday, they presented their security plan for Undas 2024 and guidelines for the visiting public and for the concessionaires.
“Dili lang ang sementeryo ang among gipreparahan, we included in our security plan even ang coastal areas kay naay mga tao during Undas but instead mas gusto nila mag island hopping or mutabok sa pikas isla,” Sumagaysay said during the Davao Peace and Security Press Corps at The Royal Mandaya Hotel.
Sumagaysay said they are coordinating with the Philippine Coast Guard and Philippine Navy including the Task Force Davao, Davao City Police Office (DCPO) and the maritime police.
For the tourist spots in Davao City, Sumagaysay said they reminded the Bantay Bukid forest guards to prohibit people from entering the protected areas.
“To see to it nga ma-maintain tung mga lugar nga ginabawalan sa mga tao like the protected areas. Kay kung ato nang pasudlan, again ang basura muadto na pud sa tubig ug sa sapa,” he said.
Sumagaysay added that he reminded the security cluster to make the guidelines clear in order to avoid confusion among security personnel.
