The City Government of Davao received several awards from the Department of Finance–Bureau of Local Government Finance (DOF-BLGF) for its exemplary performance in terms of Local Source Revenues (LSR).
The DOF-BLGF recognized the city as one of the top performing cities in the country for the Fiscal Years (FY) 2022 and 2023.
Davao City leads among all cities outside the National Capital Region (NCR) with a total local source revenue of 6,672.89 in nominal terms for FY 2023.
The city ranked 8th while Cebu City placed 10th.
For FY 2022, Davao City ranked 7th and was the only city outside the NCR to be included in the top 10 performing cities in the national level.
Among the six cities in Region XI, Davao City also ranked first in terms of ratio of Local Source Revenues to Total Current Operating Income for FY 2023 as well as in terms of Local Source Revenues.
The city also leads in yearly growth of local source revenues for the same fiscal year.
These recognitions are testaments to the commitment of the city government to the economic growth and development of the city.
It also shows that the business owners and citizens of the city remain compliant in paying their taxes. CIO
