The Office of the City Building Official (OCBO) urged owners of establishments in the city to settle their deficiencies in the requirements for the 2024 annual building inspection on or before December 20.
OCBO released a notice to all business establishment owners urging them to address their deficiencies by submitting the necessary documents to the office consisting of the annual building inspection certificate, certificate of occupancy, and order of payment.
Arch. Khashayar Toghyani, Officer-in-Charge of OCBO, said in an interview with the Madayaw Program over city-owned Davao City Disaster Radio (DCDR) that their office has noted that there are still businesses, which signed an affidavit of undertaking, that are yet to settle their deficiencies in the requirements needed for the annual inspection prompting their office to release the advisory.
He also emphasized the importance of settling discrepancies to avoid further delays or inconveniences during the scheduled business permit renewals in January.
Business establishment owners are urged to comply the requirements for the annual inspection to submit on or before December 20 to give time for the inspection officers to complete the inspections.
Toghyani also said that after the release of the advisory, several establishment owners have reached out to their office to process their requirements.
“Nagpasalamat pud ko sa kadtong mga nakakita sa advisory ug ni-respond. Responsive man pud ang atoang public dinhi sa Davao (I am grateful that Dabawenyos have been responsive to our call),” he said.
Building owners are also reminded of their responsibility to ensure that their establishments are safe and functional.
