The Office of the Vice President (OVP) vowed to continue it’s effective and honest service to the Filipino people, which will be anchored by Vice President Sara Duterte’s stable ratings in a latest survey despite the crisis she is facing allegedly being initiated by House Speaker Martin Romualdez.
In the the latest Pahayag 2024 End-of-Year Survey conducted by Publicus Asia Inc. the vice president maintained her position with stable ratings, underscoring her enduring connection with the Filipino people.
According to the survey results, Duterte’s approval rating is at 37%, reflecting only a slight dip from 40% and her trust rating from 33% to 31%, showing the public’s continued confidence in her leadership. In contrast, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. experienced a steep decline in ratings, with his approval rating dropped by 10 percentage points from 43% to 33%. Trust in President Marcos also fell sharply to 23% from 32%, while distrust climbed to 44%.
“The Office of the Vice President will continue to be an inspiration to the Filipino people for faster, effective and honest service in all corners of the country. All for God, country, and every Filipino family,” OVP said in a statement.
Meanwhile, House Speaker Martin Romualdez recorded one of the lowest approval ratings among national leaders, declining from 25% to 20%, with a corresponding 51% distrust rating.
The Pahayah 2024 End-of-Year Survey was conducted between November 29 to December 3, 2024, using purposive sampling of 1,500 respondents randomly drawn from a research panel of over 200,000 registered Filipino voters.
