The City Government of Davao, through the City Environment and Natural Resources Office (CENRO), is set to open the Roxas Greenway Park located along Roxas Avenue within the first quarter of this year.
CENRO Parks and Playground Division Head Engr. Juancho Dagasohan told reporters during the I-Speak Media Forum that the responsible offices are currently doing the “finishing touches” before the park’s opening.
“We have 28 parks in Davao City, this coming first quarter mag launch napud ta’g another park Roxas Greenway Park paga-abrihan siya before Araw ng Davao (We have 28 parks in Davao City, and during this quarter, we will launch another park—the Roxas Greenway Park, which will be opened before the Araw ng Davao),” he said.
Dagasohan added that the main features of the Roxas Greenway Park include a physical fitness area, ornamental plants, and trees.
He emphasized that these facilities represent a significant improvement, offering a “holistic environment” that Dabawenyos can enjoy.
Dagasohan added that the development of the Roxas Greenway Park. The renovation work began in the last quarter of 2024 and was completed by the end of the same year.
In addition to the Roxas Greenway Park, the city also plans to renovate the People’s Park starting this year.

He also noted that the city’s parks are monitored by about 380 CENRO personnel, and in some cases, they coordinate with the police to address issues, such as apprehending minors who overstay or people using the park as a resting area at night.
Dagasohan invited Dabawenyos to visit the parks, as these facilities are built for their enjoyment. CIO
