Here’s another shot of Rody-straction.

Despite being slapped with sedition charges for his “kill” joke directed at the administration’s senatorial bets, former President Rodrigo “Rody” Duterte appears not finished yet.

He just delivered another blow with a sarcastic remark against President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

The former president said if life has truly improved under the Marcos administration then Filipinos should support Marcos’ Senate slate.

“Kung yung presyo ng bigas at pagkain sa Pilipino mas mababa ngayon, edi iboto natin yung mga kandidatu niya (PBBM),” Duterte said during the Duterte Candidates Proclamation Rally on February 13, 2025.

It can be recalled that bringing down prices of rice to P20 a kilo was Marcos’ campaign promise.

Last year, Marcos explained the increase in prices of rice is experienced globally and not only in the Philippines.

The former president also said that if it is easier to find a job now in his administration, people should support this administration.

“Kung sa panahong ito kampante kang maglakad na walang takot, nakakapasyal ka maski saan, eh huwag mo nang bitawan si Marcos. Piliin nyo na yung kandidato niya,” Duterte added.

According to Regional StatWatch, the crime rate in the Philippines in the fourth quarter of 2024 was projected to be 53.3.

The Regional StatWatch is a tool from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) that provides core regional indicators.
