Rules, whether universal or personal, have exceptions.
Contrary to his earlier statement that he will not be endorsing any candidate in this year’s mid-term elections, popular evangelist Pastor Apollo C. Quiboloy considers Senatorial candidate Imee Marcos as his only exception.
The executive pastor, founder and leader of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KJC), The Name Above Every Name, Inc., expressed his support to the senatorial aspirant during the celebration of the Chinese New Year at Prayer Mountain compound in Tamayong Calinan District, Davao City late Saturday.
Quiboloy has deferred making endorsements because many candidates will feel bad especially those he will not endorse.
He said he is yet to discuss this endorsement matter with his religious trustees.
However, he made a 360-degree turnaround over the weekend endorsing
Marcos.
The exception, Quiboloy said, was due to the impressive ability track record of
the Ilocos Norte governor and former congresswoman as well as her political
platforms which he believes will benefit the poor Filipinos and will bring back
the glory of the Philippines.
“Ang kanyang leadership bilang gobernador, congresswoman iyan talaga ang hinahanap natin para sa bansa, yung progressive,” he said. “Sana manalangin ako na sana suportahin natin siya (Marcos)”.
Marcos in turn praised the grandeur of the Christmas Village which can compare with the best themed parks around the world. The Christmas Village consists of three beautifully lighted mansions with its surrounding gardens with 65 live pine trees festooned with LED lights.
