“Starting today (pertaining to Saturday, July 20) full alert kami until sa d-day ng SONA kasi bukas fight din ni Senator Manny Pacquiao so amin doon full alert ang personnel, 100 percent attendance,” Baria said.

The PRO 11 spokesperson said that they are monitoring threat groups opposing the Duterte administration to possibly conduct rallies within Davao City during the SONA.

“Wala kaming deployment sa areas but naka standby ang mga personnel natin for any possible rally ng mga threat groups,” he said, adding that they will strictly check if these threat groups hosting rallies have secured their respective permits, otherwise, these groups will be forced to leave the designated rally areas of Davao City that includes the Freedom Park.

Baria also said PRO 11’s intelligence division is currently checking on possible convergence of these various threat groups from afar areas. Thus, the agency will put additional checkpoints to ensure a peaceful observance of SONA in Davao City and the entire region.

Meantime, Presidential Spokesperson lawyer Salvador Panelo, in a recent television interview, bared that Duterte’s 2019 SONA is more of educating his critics on the issues thrown against him throughout the year including the issue on the West Philippine Sea.

“(This) is to educate the critics and detractors of the falsity and the wrongness of their stand,” Panelo said.

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) secretary Martin Andanar, on the other hand, said the president is expected to cite what will be doing in the remaining years of his term.

Andanar divulged that the president will address poverty alleviation, continue infrastructure projects and underscore peace and order highlighting the national task force to end local communist armed conflict.
