The PBA on Sunday announced the players who will participate in the 2017 All-Star Week that will pit members of the Gilas Pilipinas pool and some of the league’s stars in three separate games in April.
Players representing the PBA All-Stars in the Mindanao leg on April 26 in Cagayan de Oro are Mark Barroca, Scottie Thompson, PJ Simon, Rafi Reavis, Mac Belo, Jio Jalalon, Cyrus Baguio, RR Garcia, Sonny Thoss, Carlo Lastimosa, Glenn Khobuntin, Baser Amer and Troy Rosario.
They will take on Gilas Pilipinas that will feature Terrence Romeo, June Mar Fajardo, LA Revilla, Mike Tolomia, RR Pogoy, Matthew Wright, Kevin Ferrer, Carl Bryan Cruz, Fonzo Gotladera, Bradwyn Guinto and Norbert Torres.
For the Luzon leg in Lucena on April 28, the PBA All-Stars will be comprised of Marc Pingris, Japeth Aguilar, Calvin Abueva, Paul Lee, Jayson Castro, Mark Caguioa, Alex Cabagnot, LA Tenorio, Marcio Lassiter, Arwind Santos, Ranidel De Ocampo and Stanley Pringle.
Team Gilas will be composed of Mike Tolomia, Almond Vosotros, Ed Daquioag, Jonathan Grey, Allein Maliksi, Matthew Wright, Kevin Ferrer, Carl Bryan Cruz, Norbert Torres, Bradwyn Guinto, Raymond Almazan and Arnold Van Opstal.
Playing for the PBA All-Stars in the Visayas leg in Cebu on April 30 are James Yap, June Mar Fajardo, Terrence Romeo, Joe Devance, Jeff Chan, Chris Ross, Chris Ellis, Aldrech Ramos, Dondon Hontiveros, Ronald Tubid, Asi Taulava and Jericho Cruz.
Gilas Pilipinas will be having Jayson Castro, Jio Jalalon, LA Revilla, RR Pogoy, Allein Maliksi, Von Pessumal, Mac Belo, Troy Rosario, Calvin Abueva, Raymond Almazan and Japeth Aguilar.
Team Luzon will be handled by San Miguel coach Leo Austria. Team Visayas will be steered by Ginebra coach Tim Cone, while Star coach Chito Victolero will call the shots for Team Mindanao.
Chot Reyes will coach Gilas Pilipinas in those three games which are part of their preparations for the SEABA Championship in Manila in May.
