Nutrilite brings back its fifth edition of its annual health run that covers four categories—1K, 5K, 10K and 21K at SM Mall of Davao, Ecoland on October 29, 2017.
They aim to gather more than 12,000 runners in Davao and Manila which will kick off on October 15 at SM Mall of Asia Complex Grounds. This health run is a national initiative that advocates wellness and healthy living.
“Amway advocates a holistic healthy active lifestyle. We are committed to our advocacy to encourage more people to prioritize their personal wellness. We want more people to live healthy by eating right, taking the right supplements and being active,” Leni Olmedo, Country Manager of Amway Philippines said.
What is more exciting about this event is that it is the first time ever 21K marathon since they are celebrating the 20th anniversary of Nutrilite. It is also their first time to give cash prizes to top runners.
All 21K finishers will receive a finisher’s medal and shirt as they cross the finish line. Aside from that, the top runner will receive a cash prize of P20,000 and the 1st 10K finisher will receive a cash prize of P10,000. Runners will also get a chance to win exciting raffle prizes on the race day.
This race is in partnership with RUNRIO Events Inc. which gives an assurance to participants with a first class race organization and management and more importantly on the safety of the event.
The route will start off at SM Ecoland to One Oasis Condominium (1k turning point), South Grove Quimpo (5k turning point), Savemore Bangkal (10k turning point), Davao Doctor’s Hospital Dumoy (21k turning point) then back to SM Ecoland.
In preparation for the race, a Free Running Clinic will be held at the People’s Park 7 to 9 PM every Thursdays and Saturdays starting September 7. Interested runners may register at a very reasonable fee of P250 for 1K, 5K and 10K, and P850 for 21K. This is the cheapest yet exciting health run ever.
“We are targeting 2,800 runners for this race,” said Mia Jamisola, Assistant Product Manager of Amway.
Jamisola also added that the proceeds of the run will go to their beneficiary which is the Lacson Elementary School in partnership with DepEd under the “Adopt-A-School Program” with its literacy storytelling project which saw the completion of six library project from 2005-20014.
Registration is open until October 13, 2017 in all Amway Distribution Centers or online through amway.com.ph or runrio.com. In-store registration will start on September 15 at Adidas Gaisano Mall Davao.
