The country’s top-ranked tennis players will see action in the 2017 Mayor James Gamao National Invitational Tennis Championship which gets going today, October 19, in nearby Panabo City.
The tournament, which ends Sunday, is organized by the For The Love of Tennis (FLOT) Group with the backing of MERCO and Selecta Ice Cream.
Organizers said the tournament is envisioned to show and encourage tennis enthusiasts in Mindanao especially the youth to engage in sports and avoid drug use.
The top 10 players in the country have been sent invitations, according to organizers, to see action in what could be the biggest tennis tournament in Panabo City.
