BACOLOD CITY—Rancho Palos Verdes made a slight shakeup of the standings moving to 4th place going into the final round of the 71st Philippine Airlines Interclub in this city of smiles.
The Palos Verdes Day 3 squad scored 106 points to regain the 4th spot of the Aviator Division. Taking up the scorinng load for the Cabantian swingers was Christopher Tan who had a team best 31 points while the usually steady Ninot Galicia added 28 points. They were backed up by Leo Yap with 24 and Roderick Lo with 23.
Apo Golf also moved up two notches up to ninth with 102 points pulled by the team’s best Kuresh Samanodi with 28 added by Martin Castillo with 27, Enrique Romero-Salas’ 25 points and Roy Tomelanco’s 22.
Davao City Golf dropped back to 11th with Andrew Bautista leading the Matina-based parbusters with 23 points while Ernesto Damaso had 20, Alvin Tesado 19 and Menilio Narciso with 18.
Lanang struggled in Marapara’s Negros Occidental Golf and Country Club and settled for 7th place in the Friendship division. They are 44 points behind Bay Area Golf Org (BAGO) which kept the lead with a 3-day total of 241 points.
Mark Villorente remained Lanang’s most consistent scorer with 22 points backed by Danny Gotera and Raymund Salvador with 16 points each and 10 from Jose Carlos Palma Gil for a total of 64 points.
