Davao City First District Representative Paolo Z. Duterte issued his latest warning against fixers using the name of the First Congressional District Office and vowed to file charges against them.
This after he received information that a woman claiming to be an employee of his office had been “recruiting” people that need medical assistance from the government thru the congressional office.
According to the information he received, the fixer was claiming that the congressional office will be releasing P30,000 in medical assistance with P3,000 automatically going to the fixer.
Duterte immediately instructed his staff to report the information to the police and have the incident reported and blottered.
“Paludhon nako ni atubangan San Pedro Church duha ka gabii and the appropriate charges will be filed,” he said.
He also urged Dabawenyos approached by anyone claiming to be an employee of the First Congressional District Office and offering the same to readily report the said person to the authorities.
“If naa mahitabo susama ana sa uban, i-report dayon sa police ug sa congressional office sa numerong 09667510792,” he added.
In October last year, Duterte also warned and vowed to teach scammers of a government assistance program a lesson they won’t forget.
He was referring to scammers using the Department of Labor and Employment’s (DOLE’s) TUPAD or Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced workers program.
This was after a report reached his office that there are people involved in defrauding the said program.
Duterte warned the culprits to just wait for karma to fall on them.
