An official of Damosa Land, Inc. (DLI) on Thursday said the real estate developer firm is looking to attract agri-business companies for its 14 hectares available land at the Anflo Industrial Estate (AIE) in Panabo City.

Damosa Land Inc. (DLI) President Ricardo “Cary” Lagdameo said that they are eyeing agri-business locators as agriculture is the strength of Mindanao.

“It’s available already and any potential locators that are needed for land either for sale or for lease. We have 14 hectares pa ang available for new factories,” Lagdameo said in a press conference during the inauguration of the AIE Experience Center in Panabo City on Thursday.

The AIE is a 63-hectare special economic zone accredited by the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), including the PEZA’s newly proclaimed 6.35 hectares of land.

“We were able to add close to 7 hectares of additional land in AIE, which is why our total now is 63 hectares. Hopefully, we can continue to grow that number as long as the demand is there we will continue to grow that. Any additional land that we will acquire or to be used especially for export products needs proclamation by PEZA,” Lagdameo said.

Lagdameo explained that before they can sell or offer a property they have to have it registered with PEZA for their locators to have tax incentives.

Currently, AIE is housing diverse 22 locators representing six countries of manufacturers from solar panels, packaging, modular cabinets, and cold storage.

From the 63 hectares, 49 hectares of land at AIE were already developed wherein 2.1 hectares were with ready-built facilities (RBF).

The AIE, which generated 1,500 jobs, caters to industries such as agro-processing, packaging, warehousing storage, and manufacturing of construction materials.

Currently, construction of the 11,798-pallet capacity cold storage under GMAC (Glacier Megafridge-AC Logistics partnership) is ongoing with its completion eyed in the fourth quarter of 2025 while the factory of HEAD Sports, an Austrian tennis ball manufacturer, was recently completed.

“What you see today there’s been significant progress in terms of the development of the industrial park but more importantly, by the number and the size of locators, we have here today. What we are seeing here in AIE is that it’s really a growing community already,” Lagdameo said.

AIE also has a commercial center that serves the needs of the park and the community.

Located between Davao City and Tagum City with proximity to the Davao International Container Terminal (DICT), AIE is positioned to further develop the vast potential of the agro-industry in this part of the country by providing a ready market for Davao Region’s agri produce.
