DAR turns over bridge in Amlan town

The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) last April turned over a bridge project in Amlan, Negros Oriental.


The 24-meter Ongon Steel Bridge, connecting the sitios of Cantalina-Panusuan and Tuybo in Barangay Silab.

The project, worth P28 million, was funded through the Tulay ng Pangulo Para sa Kaunlarang Pang-Agraryo Program of the DAR which provided P24 million under the Comprehensive Agrarian Reform Program. The remaining P4 million was completed by the local government unit of Amlan.

Around 300 agrarian reform beneficiaries in the area are expected to benefit from the project through easier transportation of their products.

Josephus Baterna, Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Atty. Louie L. Naranjo, and Municipal Mayor Bentham P. Dela Cruz.
