Switching power interruptions on November 30, December 1, and 2 in different parts of Davao City

Davao Light and Power Co., Inc. (Davao Light) will conduct switching power interruptions on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, November 30, December 1, and 2, 2024 affecting customers in different parts of Davao City.

To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 30. These interruptions are necessary to conduct substation works at Lanang Substation.

Specifically affected are Lanang areas from Lots for Less Pampanga, Waterfront Insular Hotel, Lizada Village, Azuela Cove, and crossing R.Castillo, Doña Pilar Village, Old Airport Road, Doña Salud, Legaspi Oil, Interco, PLDT Sasa, Mercury Drug Sasa, Star Oil Sasa, Km. 10 to 13 Sasa, and corner DPWH Panacan.

Also affected are those from Hizon Elementary School, Pampanga Executive Homes, Nova Tierra, Fortune Homes, Insular Village, Caltex Lanang, Brgy Lapu-Lapu, Brgy Centro Extension, Villgos Village, Davao Fire Fighters, Kuilans R.Castillo, Alumina Industries, Agdao Flyover, and Gotamco.

Customers from R.Castillo Crossing, Grandland, Davao Diamond Hardware, Green Dragon Lumber Supplies, Choice Mart R.Castillo, Ubalde, Go Green Oil, Daikin Aircon Phils, Alterado Hospital, back of Porras Elementary School, Villamor Street, and Malagamot Panacan areas are also affected by these scheduled power interruptions.

Another switching power interruption will be conducted on Sunday and Monday, December 1 and 2, to facilitate substation works at Ponciano Reyes Substation. To avoid a longer power interruption, the loads from the affected lines will be transferred to a nearby substation for 30 minutes anytime between 12:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, December 1.

Specifically affected are those from Buhangin Substation to Diho Subdivision, Cabantian Road, Buhangin Memorial to Gaisano Grand Citygate and crossing Milan, Camp Catitipan, F. Bangoy International Airport, entire Cabantian area, Amakan, Indangan, and portion of Malagamot area, portion of Mamay Road going to Diversion Road, and COA Office going to Airport View.

Also affected are those from Gaisano Grand Toril, Carabao Statue Gaisano Mall Toril going to Sirawan and Binugao areas, and Therma South, Inc.

Customers from the corner of Gempesaw Street and Ramon Magsaysay Avenue to Leon Garcia Street, Sta. Ana Avenue to Lizada Street, Quezon Boulevard to Bolton Bridge, including Bucana, City Hall and SP Building, portions of Pichon Street and Bolton Extension, and neighboring areas will also experience these service disruptions.

In addition, customers from Mabini Street to parts of Circumferential Road, portion of Garcia Heights, Hospital Line, Davao Doctors Hospital, Limso Hospital, parts of Brokenshire Hospital, portions of Acacia Street from World Palace going to Ecoland Drive, Verdon Park, St. John Paul II College, Maya Street, Hall of Justice, and Candelaria Street going to Bolton Bridge will also be affected.

Lastly, those from portions of Tulip Drive going to McArthur Highway MTS, Ilustre area, JS Gaisano Grand Ilustre, Gov. Duterte Street to portions of Pelayo Street, parts of Mabini Street, parts of F. Torres Street, J. Camus Extension going to Ruby Street, San Rafael Marfori, and those from Tulip Drive going to McArthur Highway to Bankerohan Bridge, including portions of University Avenue Juna Subdivision will also be affected by these power interruptions.

Meanwhile, the normalization or return of loads to their normal set-up will be for another 30 minutes anytime between 1:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m. on Monday, December 2. Specifically affected are customers from Mabini Street to parts of Circumferential Road, a portion of Garcia Heights, Hospital Line, Davao Doctors Hospital, Limso Hospital, parts of Brokenshire Hospital, parts of Mabini Street, parts of F. Torres Street, J. Camus Extension going to Ruby Street, and San Rafael Marfori.

Davao Light apologizes for the inconvenience brought about by these scheduled power interruptions. But it will exert all efforts to restore electric service as scheduled or earlier. However, there may be instances where restoration may extend beyond the schedule due to unavoidable circumstances.
