Philippine Airlines (PAL) recently expanded their presence in Davao City with the opening of their new ticketing office at Matina along MacArthur Highway. This brings to three, the number of Philippine Airlines ticketing offices in the city.
In his welcome remarks, Philippine Airlines president and CEO Jaime J. Bautista shared that the new ticketing office was established to serve their clients coming from the Southern area of Davao. “This is our way of investing our commitment to continue serving our riding passengers from Davao and adjoining municipalities.”
“Davao is one of our busiest routes, we have eight flights a day from Manila and two to three flights from Davao to Cebu.” he added “We are planning to expand operations in Davao. We have started Davao to Tagbilaran, and we are looking at other destinations, possibly Davao to Siargao, we are planning to operate this and we plan to really increase our presence from Davao to more destinations in Visayas and Mindanao.”
Mr. Bautista also shared PAL’s upcoming expansion plans and new exciting destinations. “Philippine Airlines is expanding its operations to other destinations from Manila. We are taking delivery of two brand new Boeing 777-300ER this December and we fly these planes to the U,S to London, to Canada. This will allow us to operate non-stop flights.”
Also attending the opening and blessing of the PAL Matina ticketing office was Davao City Mayor Sara Z. Duterte. “We are happy that your business is growing here in Davao City and the Dabawenyos are working very hard that our city will be competitive and will be put on the map of the ASEAN community.” she said.
