Entrepreneurs, loyal shoppers and just about anyone in Davao gathered at The Tent at Azuela Cove to witness NCCC’s 19th Kanegosyo Congress. Held last 18 October 2018, this year’s Kanegosyo congress featured a number of products that covered anyone’s cup of T.

Operating in over 100 branches, NCCC has various business units that cater to the general public. A staple household name in the Davao and Mindanao region, NCCC has reached key cities and municipalities in Davao del Norte, Davao del Sur, Compostella Valley and Davao Oriental and even in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

The three-day event was filled with excitement as discounts and freebies were given away to shoppers as they stride along with their carts to every nook and corner of the venue. The event also featured formidable items that gave everyone a chance to sample their products for free.

In an interview with Lafayette Lim, CEO NCCC Group of Companies, he expressed his gratitude to the support of their clients and shoppers despite the challenges along their way. What better way to return the favour that to continue on with tradition – one of which is their annual Kanegosyo Congress.

“This is the 19th Kanegosyo Congress we have been doing this since 1999, and I think we were the first one to do it in the country. And we are happy because it’s our way to support our Kanegosyo through the Kanegosyo Congress,” Lim shared.

He made mention that this event has become an avenue for direct interaction between buyers and suppliers. More so, a best way to understand consumer behaviour as they go through and skim through the aisles of merchandise laid before them.

This year’s theme HaPinas, saw more than 40 colourful booths designed as tourist destinations and festivals around the country. Some of which featured Enchanted Kingdom by Unilever Philippines, Basco Lighthouse in Batanes by Del Monte Philippines, Panagbenga Festival by Procter & Gamble Philippines and Hot Air Balloon Festival by San Miguel Foods, Inc. to name a few.

The Congress aimed to equip small and medium entrepreneurs with opportunities including immediate and long term solutions to improve their businesses and become profitable and sustainable through a series of Kanegosyo Talks conducted all throughout the event.

“Being a homegrown brand loved by the community for over 40 years, we want to reciprocate the loyalty and support from our shoppers. This event will help empower & equip favorable no. of entrepreneurs in the region,” said Tjader Regis, Senior Vice-President for NCCC Supermarket.

Kanegosyo Congress saw more than 250,000 NCCC Rewards Club members. The card will serve as their access to endless discounts, shopping perks and an exclusive Meet & Greet with Kapamilya stars Vin Abrenica, Jerome Ponce, Diego Loyzaga and Jon Lucas.
