The Regional Mobile Force Battalion has deployed 76 personnel in the city strengthen it assistance to Davao City Police Office (DCPO) in operations.
“This is an addition and augmentation to our police visibility patrolling. Their task is to give police visibility in the city particularly the poblacion district,” said PSI. Dennis Yuson Jr., operation officer RMFB 11, during the AFP-PNP Southern Mindanao Press Corps press conference at The Royal Mandaya Hotel on Wednesday.
Yuson said that the RMFB additional personnel will be fielded along the streets of Magallanes, San Pedro, Rizal, and C. Bangoy and the Daang Maharlika Highway.
“For now they will focus on the downtown areas after they engage with the community members and have an intensified visibility they will transfer to another part of Davao City,” he added.
There is no timeline as to when this program will end for as long as RMFB can provide personnel to Davao City then the program will continue.
The RMFB also reactivated their motor cops who will roam around the city to ensure that the traffic code is being implemented.
“They will go around the visibility points in the city and will help reprimanding those who illegally park their vehicle which causes heavy traffic,” he added.
This areas are in Magallanes, San pedro, Rizal, C. Bangoy, Bonifacio, Buhangin and Daang Maharlika Highway.
He assured that these are all trained motor cops and was deployed on Wednesday afternoon.
