Members of the Davao City Police Auxiliary are entitled an increase in allowance by the end of the year.
According to Davao City Police Office spokesperson, Senior Inspector Maria Teresita Gaspan, police auxiliaries who were able to render one year of service will start to receive P10,000 each by the month of December.
As of the moment the allowance given to them amounted to P6,000 per month.
Gaspan said during the weekly AFP-PNP Southern Mindanao Press Conference at The Royal Mandaya Hotel on Wednesday that this is according to Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte.
“Personnel will be screened in order to determine whether they deserve the increase or not,” she said.
She added that the performance of each police auxiliary will be a factor during the screening.
The increase will be based on the police auxiliary’s performance on his duties and responsibilities because there are some police auxiliary that committed a number of absences and tardiness. These shall all be determined by the Station Commanders.
“The Police auxiliary is a great help to DCPO,” she said.
Gaspan added that those police auxiliary who are still under a year will not receive an increase.
The Police Auxiliary program started May 2017 as part of the Oplan Iron City Implemented by DCPO and to augment the security forces in increasing police visibility in the city.
