Presidential son, Paolo “Pulong” Duterte assured supporters that he is ready for the position he is running for.
He said that he is ready because his family and his supporters are there to help him if he given the chance to be the Congressman of the first district.
On Friday, he filed his Certificate of Candidacy together with his sister Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte and his brother-in-law lawyer Manses Carpio.
He said that it is not only him who decided for the position but the whole family.
When asked about what was his father’s advice in politics, he said that ‘serve the people they way he did his job here in the city.’
The city mayor said that she will be running again as mayor and her decision is final.
“I feel this is where I should be, this is where I can help them the administration,” she said.
She said that Pulong will be running under the Hugpong sa Tawong Lungsod Party list.
December 24 last year, Pulong resigned from his position as Davao City vice mayor out of delicadeza.
The then vice mayor cited his reason for quitting the position is the unfortunate events that are closely tied to his failed marriage to his first wife.
