The first Mindanao born application called StreetBy had its media and partners launch on Thursday at SM Annex Davao City.
This application is a total lifestyle application that originated from Cagayan de Oro and has expanded its scope in Davao City.
This was made possible through the partnership of StreetBy and Errands. The partnership became official on September 10, 2018 with the presence of Ronald Rhey Miñoza, chief executive officer, Val Gerard Marquez, chief product officer of StreetBy and Ricky Hanz Tagabucba, owner of Errand and Emmanuel Francis Torre, general manager of Errands.
“Our mission is to really help small businesses, we are here to provide the convenience that bigger companies offer” said Miñoza during the event.
“We wanted to create an app which could be part of the daily routine of everybody, from the morning they wake up until before they go to bed. It’s convenience through tapping” he added.
Rica G. Alinas, chief marketing officer of StreetBy said that their partner merchants are homegrown businesses.
StreetBy has 350 active merchants in their system and in Davao City there are over 50 merchant partners available in their application.
Aside from Davao city they have partners from Iligan, Camuigin, Bukidnon and some parts of Surigao.
“We saw the opportunity in Davao, when I visited here; I was amazed on how many local restaurants you have. So our mission is to support local (businesses),” Irra Chiong, chief operations officer said in an interview.
Marquez said that the merchants do not need a physical store to join, all they need is to register their business in the application and the marketing team and creative of StreetBy will help them.
“There is no fee for the registration,” Marquez said.
Alinas said that they also have to check whether the business is already registered with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) in order to make sure that the businesses they cater are legitimate.
She also highlighted that even Overseas Filipino Workers (OFW) can order for their loved-ones through StreetBy and they will deliver it for them.
