Three street level drug peddlers were arrested in a buy-bust operation at Km. 9 Old Airport, Sasa in Davao City on Wednesday.
The anti-illegal drug operation resulted to the arrest of Dann Kristopher Acosta, 33, male, single, unemployed and resident of No. 18 Maria compound, Km. 9 Old Airport, Sasa, Davao City; Ruigi G. Dimaligalig , 22, single, unemployed, and Dariel Cruz Ondevilla, 25, male, single, unemployed and both residents of Doña Pillar, Sasa, Davao City.
The suspects are known in the area for selling illegal drugs.
According to Chief Inspector Estrello B. Ramiso, station commander of Bunawan Police Station, the arrest of these suspects will greatly reduce the drug trade activity in the area.
The operation was conducted by the Station Drug Enforcement Unit of Bunawan Police station in coordination with a team of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 11 agents at around 2:00 am.
The operating team was able to seize one small pack (object for sale) of suspected dried marijuana leaves with fruiting tops weighing more or less .02 grams with a street value of P300, one big pack (object in possession) of the same suspected dried leaves having an estimated weight of 0.08 grams with a street value of P500; Three pieces of P100 bills used as buy-bust money; one small transparent heat sealed sachet white crystalline believed to be shabu, and one improvised bamboo tooter.
A case of is being prepared against the suspects for the violation of Republic Act 9165 better known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002.
