Senator Emmanuel “Manny”D. Pacquiao is endorsing the candidacy of Antonio “Tonyboy” R. Floirendo Jr. for representative of the Second District of Davao del Norte.
The “pambansang kamao” said so himself in a video message addressed to his fans in the district where Tonyboy or “TBF” is running for reelection for congressman in the forthcoming midterm election this May.
Tonyboy’s political camp circulated Senator Pacquiao’s video message to correct a claim by the camp of Vice Gov. Alan Dujali’s that the senator from Sarangani is allegedly supporting the rival of Floirendo.
In his video message, Pacquiao said he knows Floirendo to be a good man and a good public servant and deserving of the support of the people.
He also thanked Floirendo for his consistent generous help and assistance to the boxers through his decade-old Barangay Una Boxing Program.
Dujali is running under the group of former House Speaker Pantaleon Alvarez, a wing of the PDP-Laban Party.
